INTERVENTIONS

Bangor Township Schools provides qualifying students with intervention in the areas of ELA and math. ELA intervention is provided in the format of a strategic reading course using a program entitled, Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI). LLI is a research-based supplementary intervention system proven to improve literacy achievement of struggling readers with engaging leveled books and fast-paced systematically designed lessons.

Students qualifying for intervention in the area of math receive an additional course in their schedule called Strategic Math. This course provides intentional support in missing math skills using strategic instruction. The support they receive mirrors the concepts they are learning in their regular math class and therefore enhances their level of understanding.
